LATEST NEWS BABS Educare started off the year with one baby class and three classes for the older children. Our enrolment total are currently 84 children. Our first fundraising effort for the year took place on Saturday, 10 March 2012. The Aftercare Project started with a total of 30 children which includes quite a few from our children that has left the Educare to pursue their Grade R (Primary School) education at schools in the area. This is an indication of the parents' trust in our facility. The holiday programme will include various activities and the aftercare will be at the Centre for the full day starting at 08H30 until 16H30. Our Seniors had their first visit from the Ozone Seniors Group for the year. The interaction between these two groups will be a regular occurance for the year. Their annual outing took place on Thursday, 08 March 2012. The Seniors went to Sea Point Pavillion for the day. The Soup Kitchen is operational five days a week and we hand out on average 50 cups daily. Legal Aid has confirmed dates for their services offered at BABS until December 2012. |
